“We have long been proud to have the physicians of Valley Heart Group as members of Valley’s medical staff,” said Audrey Meyers, the president and CEO of The Valley Hospital and Valley Health System.

“We now welcome the doctors as members of Valley Health System,” Meyers said, adding that the “exciting and positive”collaboration “will enhance our ability to provide the best possible cardiac care in our region.”

Dr. Gerald Sotsky, a member of The Valley Heart and Vascular Institute’s Executive Council, extolled the benefits of the move.

“As a part of Valley Health System, we will be able to offer our patients a stronger link between the highest quality community-based cardiology care and the wide array of advanced cardiac programs and services available at Valley,” he said.

Joining him are fellow cardiologists Howard Z. Goldschmidt, Dennis S. Reison, Mitchell M. Weiser and Mark I. Sotsky.

“Integrating our practice into Valley Health will lead to system-wide sharing of medical information,” Goldschmidt said. “This will streamline the process of specialty referral, optimize the coordination of care between specialists, and reduce needless duplication of services.”

The group’s members agreed that patients will hardly notice the change – same office, same staff. Or as they put it: “Our stationery may change, but our loyalty and dedication to you and your care remains the same.”
