Ridgewood Police Continue Multi-Day SWAT Training At Middle School

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood police will continue their ongoing tactical training, this time at Benjamin Franklin Middle School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, April 11, through Thursday.

Members of the Ridgewood Emergency Response Team (ERT) and village patrol officers participate in the drills with the Bergen County Regional SWAT unit -- made up of police and sheriff's officers from various Bergen towns and trained by U.S. Navy Seals.

Residents can expect to see officers from various agencies in the area of the school during the week.
