Ridgewood police charge driver in crash with blowing stop sign

ONLY ON CVP: Ridgewood police issued a driver a summons for blowing a stop sign today after her sedan collided with an SUV carrying two children.

The crash between the Toyota Camry and RAV4 occurred just before noon at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Bellair Road in Ridgewood.

The SUV’s driver complained of chest pains and the youngsters were a bit shaken up. All three were taken to The Valley Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

The Camry’s driver appeared uninjured.

Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS workers responded.
