Ridgewood pedestrian, 54, struck

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 54-year-old woman struck while crossing a Ridgewood street this aftenoon was taken to the Valley Hospital with injuries that didn’t appear life-threatening injuries.

The woman was crossing Franklin Avenue at the intersection of North Walnut Street around 2 p.m. when she was struck by a late-model Volvo station heading east.

The driver was issued a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Responding were Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS.
