Pickup, convertible collide in Ridgewood, driver hospitalized

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a Mustang collided in Ridgewood tonight, sending one driver to the hospital and causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

The Silverado driver was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood following the 7:30 p.m. crash at the corner of Highland Avenue and Manor Road.

Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS workers all responded.

The EMS crew and Valley paramedics prepared the victim for ambulance transport, while firefighters attended to a small fluid spill. Flatbed tow trucks removed both vehicles.

Ridgewood police issued two summonses for undetermined offenses.
