An 80-year-old woman from Ridgewood was leaving the Kings Supermarket around 2:30 p.m. Friday when she was struck by a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Hackensack man who apparently was blinded by sun glare, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke told Daily Voice.
The pedestrian "complained of pain in her back and knee but refused going to the hospital," Luthcke said.
Around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, a 56-year-old Hawthorne was crossing Goffle Road from the Poultry Farm to the medical building when she was struck by a car driven by a 49-year-old Waldwick woman coming out of the farm, the chief said.
The driver apparently didn't see the pedestrian, who Luthcke said was wearing dark clothing.
The pedestrian was taken to the Valley Hospital after complaining of shoulder pain, she said.
