Live Power Lines Topple Onto Ridgewood Snow-Removal Truck

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- A dump truck being used to remove snow from Ridgewood streets snagged overhead electrical wires and snapped a utility pole in half overnight Tuesday.

There's just no room to put the snow, so Ridgewood collected it in dump trucks and dropped it at the Graydon Pool parking lot.

A PSE&G crew responded to the Graydon pool parking lot after the wires ended up on the truck after the 12:30 a.m. incident, police said.

DPW crews have been dumping the snow from Winter Storm Jonas at the pool.
