Jersey Shore woman lets dog pee on clothes in store, leads police chase

APB (BEYOND BERGEN): Authorities were looking for a Jersey Shore woman who they said let her dog urinate on 14 dresses and 11 pairs of pants at a Lane Bryant store, then ran several red lights and kept going when police tried to pull her over.

Wet road conditions and the potential for harm to others made officers pull back as 35-year-old Theresa Tumbleson of Jackson fled in a white Chevy Malibu in TOms River yesterday afternoon.

Store employees told police that Tumbleson became belligerent with them after her small dog caused $2,000 in damage.

She faces eluding and obstruction charges, with a bail of $30,000, on top of whatever criminal mischief and vandalism counts might be brought.
