Police were on the lookout after Betsy -- a life-sized fiberglass sheep -- went missing from in front of Healthy Choice Organic Mattresses in Ridgewood on Monday.
Daily Voice published a story about the disappearance, in the hopes someone would return her.
Store Manager Dave Stadt said he'd left Betsy outside overnight.
It turns out a fellow merchant "spotted her in front of the store around midnight and brought her to her salon," he told Daily Voice on Wednesday."You know that belongs around the corner," a customer who saw Betsy in the salon the next day told the merchant, Stadt said."I guess you could say she was borrowed," he said.
