Fire damages Ridgewood home, ambulance in fender-bender

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: No one was hurt, but a stubborn kitchen fire damaged a Ridgewood home this morning.

The 3-alarm fire at a single-family Cape Cod-styled house in the 600 block of Grove Street was quickly knocked down by Ridgewood firefighters shortly after 10:30.

Everyone got out OK and no injuries to emergency responders were reported.

However, a Ridgewood ambulance responding to the scene was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident that damaged its rear bumper.

Paramus police assisted their Ridgewood counterparts with traffic control. Glen Rock EMS also responded.
