The driver was upset but not injured after her Honda CRV barreled into the 6-foot fence at the Somerville Elementary School’s athletic field on South Pleasant Avenue.
It is believed she lost control of the vehicle after clearing a speed hump and hitting a patch of ice.
There were no pedestrians in the area at the time.
The vehicle was removed by a flatbed tow truck.
Police were investigating.
