The Nissan driver was taken to the Valley Hospital with what apparently was a neck injury after the 6 a.m. crash at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and South Irving Street.

Police issued a summons to the sanitation truck driver.

A flatbed tow truck removed the SUV.

The sanitation vehicle was being repaired on the street.

Village firefighters cleaned up a fuel spill.

It couldn't immediately be determined whether a subsequent call for a hazardous materials unit to clean up a spill that extended to Glen Rock was related to the incident.
