RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The image above is of a scam email that thieves are sending to motorists claiming that they owe money for parking tickets, Ridgewood police warned on Friday. Don’t fall for it, they said.

At no time would any police department issue summonses – or send such notifications – by email.

The email reads:
