A Bergen County Hazardous Material Unit official told CLIFFVIEW PILOT the spill resulted from “sloppy housekeeping” at the Chestnut Street site just north of the Ridgewood YMCA/YWCA.
Portions of Chestnut Street, Robinson Lane, and Oak Street were all affected, choking other streets with Friday evening rush-hour traffic as a Hazmat team and village firefighters worked to contain and clean up the spill.
