RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Margaret A Vrana (nee Hughes), 91, a Ridgewood resident for 48 years, passed away Dec. 17, 2015.
She was the wife of 72 years to Joseph; mother of John and Betty Vrana, Margaret and Tony Ciorciari, Carol and Paul Tikkanen, Judy Way, and Frank Vrana; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of nine; and sister of Alice Platia.
A parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood, she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, past president of H.I.L.T. and a volunteer at Valley Hospital.
Vrana worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave, Ridgewood.
