RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Hugh Snyder, a resident of Ridgewood, died Tuesday, June 28. He was 77.
Born and raised in Oxford, N.J. he moved to Ridgewood, in 1981.
He was the regional sales manager of Johanna Foods for 40 years. He spread the joy as Santa Claus for many years to thousands of people.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Snyder; children Karl and his wife Kathy Snyder, Karen and her husband Mike Inglese, Sherri and her husband Richard Tomek, Lori and her husband Michael Cariello, Vikki and her husband Douglas Vankesteren, Pati and her husband John Vitale, and Denise and her husband Pete Vecchio; and grandchildren Gina, Michael, Laken, Douglas, Ghia, Jacob, Toria, Adriana, Jenna, Peter, Deena, Sara and Paige.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 2, 2-5:30 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, N.J.
