RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Caroline J. Benoit, (neé Daley), a 58-year resident of Ridgewood, died Saturday, Nov. 7.
She was the wife of her favorite dance partner, the late Woodrow F. Benoit, who predeceased her in 2002.
She is survived by her children, Peter and Sue, Stephen, Caron and Andreas; three grandchildren; two nephews; and two nieces.
A graduate of the Syracuse University School of Nursing, she served in the U.S. Army Cadet Nurse Corps from 1943-48. She became vice president of Ramapo Travel in Airmont, N.Y., and traveled extensively. She was a volunteer, serving with the N.A. Bleshman School for Handicapped Children in Paramus, Ridgewood Red Cross, The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus and patient relations at Valley Hospital. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church.
All are invited to meet at 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Ridgewood for the funeral Mass. Interment will be private in Vermont.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either The N.A. Bleshman Regional Day School, 333 E. Ridgewood Ave, Paramus NJ 07652, or The Hermitage, 335 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus NJ 07423 would be appreciated.
