RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Caroline J. Benoit (nee Daley), a longtime resident of Ridgewood, died at her home Nov. 7. She was 89.
She graduated from the Syracuse University School of Nursing, serving in the U.S. Army Cadet Nurse Corps from 1943-48 and going on to serve as vice president of Ramapo Travel in Airmont, N.Y.
Benoit was predeceased by her husband Woodrow.
She is survived by five children, Peter and Sue, Stephen, Caron and Andreas, three grandchildren and four nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood.
Interment will be private in Vermont.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either the N.A. Bleshman Regional Day School, 333 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652 or The Hermitage, 335 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423 are welcomed.
Arrangements are being handled by the Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood.
