"This is part of our ongoing process to enhance communication and make village government more accessible and user friendly," Aronsohn told Daily Voice.

Among the new features on the website are a search bar that will allow users to search the entire site to find an article just by typing in a phrase.

The new website will also be more compatible with different devices, allowing users easier access to the website via iPhones and iPads.

Aronsohn said the calendar is also more interactive, and users will now be able to email village personnel directly via contact forms on the site.

Other features include an option to increase the size of the font on the site, an audio reader for people with hearing issues, and the option to increase the contrast for people who are colorblind.

The redesign was done by the village's Network Administrator Dylan Hansen, and was focused grouped several times to make sure it could meet the needs of Ridgewood residents, the mayor said.
