An offshoot of the South Korean World Mission Society Church of God, the Godwin Avenue group worships an elderly South Korean woman, according to nj.com.

Members are lured into devotion and give a minimum of 10 percent of their incomes as they await the apocalypse, reports nj.com.

Pending lawsuits charge the church forced a member to get an abortion, discouraged childbearing and forbade internet use, according to nj.com.
