The Ridgewood fashionista has purchased boots and bangles for gal pals who had mentioned in passing they were looking for something to jazz up a cocktail dress.
After years of rescuing friends in fashion crises, O'Reilly has launched a personal shopping business to help women everywhere "GLOW" — by Mary.
This Mother's Day, O'Reilly is offering a certificates for 2-hour consultations, and is even expanding her services to the fathers who want to find the perfect accessory for moms.
"If you're feeling good on the inside, then that's radiating to the outside," the mother of three said. "And you're glowing."
O'Reilly gave up her career as a style editor at GQ, In Style and Harper's Bazaar and found that what she missed most was dressing up for work.
"All the moms I'd see in the Mommy and Me classes thought that they had to hang up their Manolo's just because they were moms," said O'Reilly, whose closet is bursting with an array of hot pink tops.
"We still have to be our best and look our best for ourselves."
O'Reilly knows that isn't always easy for moms.
With GLOW, she'll show you all the ways you can wear that leather jacket you never had the confidence for. She'll bring you to the hidden gems of your town's shopping district for the afternoon.
O'Reilly will make you feel special and a little bit less blustered by the fashion world.
"People are intimidated because they don't know their own style," she said. "But then they tell me that I changed their life. What's better than that?"
There's one thing, however, that no trendy consignment shop or department store can offer. O'Reilly might be able to help you find it, though.
"A smile," she said. "That's your best accessory."
