Ridgewood-Based Chorus Seeks Young Vocalists

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A Ridgewood-based chorus is seeking 50 singers in grades six through 12 for its spring performances.

Auditions for the New Jersey Choral Society will be Monday, Jan. 14.

The group’s 85 voices will perform the rare “Ragazzi” portion of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” in May and June 2016.

Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with concerts scheduled in Connecticut, New Jersey and possibly Lincoln Center.
