Whitney Diacono, the owner of the recently opened Bisous Beauty Bar in Englewood and a Hackensack resident offers the following tips:
- Go for a fresh, natural, dewy face but add some holiday flair. "For the eyes, I like to go with neutral shadows like browns, nudes, and creams," said Diacono. "For holiday sparkle, I love to add gold shimmer on the eyelids so that whenever you blink, the glittery look will catch people's attention."
- Be merry with berry. "When it comes to holiday makeup, people always tend to go for a bold red lip. Some people look great in a red lip, but for the majority of people, it tends to look too harsh," she said. "This year, a lot of celebrities and fashion moguls are going for more of a matte berry lip color. It is still bold but has a softer look that compliments almost every skin tone."
- Treat yourself. If holiday makeup seems too difficult, treat yourself to a makeup application by a professional, suggests Diacono. Your Facebook page will thank you.
