Ridgewood Library Launches Martha Glaser Culture Series

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Ridgewood Public Library's Martha Glaser Friday Night Culture Series opens on Friday night, April 29, with a screening of "She's Beautiful When She's Angry," a discussion with its director and a reception.

"Join us for a riveting documentary that resurrects the buried history of the outrageous, often brilliant women who founded the modern women's movement from 1966 to 1971," a news release notes.

The film progresses from the founding of the National Organization for Women -- "with ladies in hats and gloves" -- onward, including the street theatrics of WITCH, the Women's International Conspiracy from Hell. You can view a trailer at the film's website. The film has a 92-minute runtime.
