The Five “Figs” represent Bonfiglio and her four daughters – Gabby (19), Kat (17), Alana (15), and Natalie (11) – who help out with the jewelry company.

The company raises money for schools and other organizations by selling personalized jewelry.

“It makes me feel good," said Bonfiglio, a Long Island native. "I’m not just selling items, i’m helping organizations raise money."

Bonfiglio earned her MBA from UPenn’s Wharton School of Business, before working in the corporate world. She went on to join a non-profit in Harlem developing a modern inner city elementary schools.

The business woman eventually took a step back to become a stay-at-home mother but her longing for work remained.

Designing jewelry “makes life more fun,” Bonfiglio said.

Her necklaces, bracelets, cufflinks and more all feature a customized logo. Everything can be engraved and charms can be added on. Twenty percent of funds go back to the organizations the jewelry is designed for.

Bonfiglio recently created a personalized Ridgewood and tennis charm for the captain of the Ridgewood High School girls tennis team.

“It’s a nice memento,” she said. “It’s more stylish than class rings.”

And since many of the items are for teenaged girls, the Bonfiglio children and their friends review the products.

“I have my daily focus group,” Bonfiglio said.
