Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Garden State Parkway Crash, Police Say
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an early morning crash on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police said.
Troopers responded to the scene in Clifton at 1:33 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, near milepost 156.8 on the southbound side of the Parkway in Passaic County.
According to a preliminary investigation, the Verona man, 53, was riding south when he "lost directional control, and the motorcycle overturned." The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries, police said.

SWAT Team Arrests NJ Gym Owner Who Beat Worker With Handgun: Cops
A Kearny gym owner was arrested after allegedly beating a store employee with a handgun during a violent robbery, then fleeing to a nearby gym, police said.
The incident happened on Friday, June 6, at 3 p.m. on Schuyler Avenue, after Edsel M. Brown, 35, of Kearny, was confronted by an employee at Seabra Foods for stealing merchandise, Kearny police said. Brown then pulled out a black handgun and beat an employee with it," police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a trauma center due to the severity of the facial injury.
