Death At Route 17 Holiday Inn: Cause Not Official Yet All signs point to the death of a 56-year-old guest at a Holiday Inn off Route 17 as the result of a medical emergency, possibly a heart attack. But it’s not official yet. Hasbrouck Heights police were still awaiting the results of an autopsy by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office. Man, 65, Found Dead In Car Outside Valley Hospital, No Foul Play Suspected, Ridgewood PD Says A 65-year-old man was found dead in his car in the employee parking lot of The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, authorities confirmed. No foul play was suspected, village Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. "It looks like he went to sleep and didn't wake up," one responder said after the body was discovered in a parked vehicle shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Detectives from the Bergen County prosecutor's and sheriff's offices joined Ridgewood officers and detectives, as well as hospital security staffers, Luthcke said. The Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office removed the body.

Burned Body Of North Arlington Woman, 83, Found Days After She Died A Bergen County medical examiner will officially determine how an 83-year-old North Arlington woman whose body was found in her home Tuesday died. Her unattended death, as such passings are known, wasn't considered suspicious, authorities said. The Jauncey Avenue victim apparently had been using the stove either to cook or for heat when her clothing caught fire sometime over the weekend, they said.
