Seal Bitten By Shark Rescued In NJ Beach Town: Officials
A one-year-old seal is recovering after he was bitten by a shark on Christmas Day in Surf City on Long Beach Island. When Marine Mammal Stranding Center, based in Brigantine, arrived on the scene, they said they found the yearling suffering from a large laceration on his left hip and wounds on his abdomen and around his tail. The seal was transported to the center for medical treatment and staff administered fluids and flushed out his wounds, MMSC said. He is currently on oral and topical medications to prevent infection and is resting in intensive care, MMSC said.

Shark Bites PA Teen Surfing In NJ
A 15-year-old girl from Pennsylvania was bitten by a shark while surfing off the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The shark bite occurred off Stone Harbor's 109th Street Beach, around 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, Stone Harbor officials said. The injured surfer sustained several cuts to her left foot and calf, officials said. She received immediate onsite medical treatment from Stone Harbor Fire/Rescue. Video footage of a shark attacking a dolphin off the shore in Ocean County is going viral. The clip was posted on YouTube by Sean Donohue, who said he witnessed the encounter near 106th Street Beach in Long Beach Township. Two Children Bitten In Rare Shark Attacks Off Fire Island
A 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy are recovering after officials say they were bitten by a shark off Fire Island.The girl was bitten around noon on Wednesday at Sailor Haven Beach and the boy was bitten in the waters at Atlantique Beach around the same time.
