Weather Whoas: Bus Slams Into NJ Turnpike Toll Plaza No passengers were aboard a New Jersey Transit bus that slammed into an NJ Turnpike toll plaza as snow began falling heavily Thursday morning, authorities said. It was one of nearly 100 crashes and several dozen assist calls that brought State Police troopers on roadways across New Jersey. The driver escaped serious injuries when the #113 bus slammed into the plaza heading west on Route 78 in Newark shortly before 7:30 a.m., NJ Transit's Kate Thompson said. Update: Boy, 17, Killed By Train In Edison Was Local High School Student A 17-year-old Edison boy who was killed when he was struck by a commuter train Tuesday was identified as a local high school junior. Aditya Tejaswi was a member of the Class of 2021, officials at St. Joseph High School in Metuchen said. "It is always a sad day when a member of our Saint Joseph High School faith community is suddenly and tragically taken from us," they said in a notice to families.
