UPDATE: Translators from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security who are fluent in Arabic found that a message written by a student to her brother on a classroom blackboard at Cresskill High School was misinterpreted and harmless, officials said. The parents of a popular Cresskill social studies teacher killed by a heart attack as he walked around the district high school track asked that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the library, band or a special scholarship that he created in memory of a former student.
