Local Athletes Put On Clinic At Hasbrouck Heights Punt, Pass, Kick Event

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J.– Four Hasbrouck Heights athletes – and two other locals – took first in their respective age groups at NFL 60's Punt, Pass and Kick competition at Depken Field.

The winners were:

  • Jonathan Cuccio of Hasbrouck Heights (ages 6-7);
  • Michael Napolitano of Hasbrouck Heights (ages 8-9);
  • Jaqueline Karcic of Hasbrouck Heights (ages 8-9);
  • Ryan Ward of Rutherford (ages 10-11);
  • Brian Stanzione of Saddle Brook (ages 12-13);
  • Spencer Lee of Hasbrouck Heights (ages 14-15). 

"It was a great day," said organizer Adam Baeira, the Hasbrouck Heights High School football team's offensive coordinator. "These kids had a great time and I look forward to making it bigger and better next year."

The Anti Bully Squad and Gridiron State Football sponsored the free event.

Play 60 is a campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity, according to its website.

Baeira of Gridiron State Football previously teamed with the ABS for a youth football camp last month.
