Detective Joseph Rutigliano and Officer Michael Mueller were on patrol when they spotted Peter Crocamo outside his Columbian Street home around 11 a.m.

“We were aware that he had an outstanding warrant out of Wood-Ridge for failure to appear in court,” Rutigliano said. “So we placed him under arrest.

“While taking an inventory of his belongings we discovered a credit card in his possession that didn’t belong to him, with the piece of paper taped to it,” the detective said.

Police contacted the owner, who confirmed his identifying information and said he didn’t know Crocamo or how he could have gotten the card.

Crocamo was charged with possession of mislaid property and receiving a mislaid credit card.

He posted $500 of his $5,000 bail and $250 for the original warrant and was released pending court action, Rutigliano said.
