Someone left a 16-year-old girl alone with 44-year-old Jose A. Villanueva of Ridgefield Park, said prosecutors, who convinced a judge to order the married truck driver held on $300,000 bail on charges of inappropriate sexual contact and endangerment.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said investigators with his Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit arrested Villanueva after the teenager said he “engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct” with her.

Villanueva is being in the Bergen County Jail pending a Jan. 5 court appearance in Ridgefield Park.
