Chris Andrinopoulos got shots of the overturned vehicle following the 12:20 p.m. mishap, which closed all of the eastbound lanes, backing traffic to the NJ Turnpike. It was cleared by 1:40 p.m.
The driver was taken to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health and the passenger was taken to Hoboken University Medical Center, said Joseph Pentangelo of the Port Authority Police Department.
Their injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, he said.
Andrinopoulos noted that the vehicle’s airbags deployed.
