Twist in twin killing: Woman slain somewhere else

A woman whose body was found stabbed next to that of a man who’d been living in a Little Ferry warehouse office was killed somewhere else and brought there, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the case said. So while it could go into the books as a homicide-suicide, whoever stabbed the woman may be an open question. Investigators said they found a knife at the scene — but not whether it was the murder weapon.

The body of 53-year-old Su Ja Lee was found on a mattress next to that of Kyung Hyung Cho, 55, who’d been living in the Bergen Turnpike building since separating from his wife.

Cho’s estranged wife sent police to the warehouse Friday morning, saying she was unable to reach him. Officers found Lee stabbed and Cho with no outward signs of physical injury.

Both the Chos and Lee lived in Ridgefield, authorities confirmed.

Lee lived in the house in the photo, on Kingsland Avenue, which runs parallel to Bergen Boulevard. Family members are all in Korea, authorities said.

Autopsies are being conducted today, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
