Suspect’s bright blue pants lead Little Ferry patrolman to stolen holiday packages

EXCLUSIVE: A Little Ferry man gave a patrolman all the evidence he needed when he came to the door wearing a t-shirt stolen off a neighbor’s porch, authorities said.

Tony Bugg, 34, then gave Officer John Andronaco consent to search his room, where Detective Ronald Klein Jr. said items from two stolen packages were found.

They included two PlayStations, three video games, an air pump, a ballet workout DVD and two more Armani t-shirts — one black, one white — similar to the gray one he was wearing, Klein said.

Andronaco hit the Woodland Avenue neighborhood after an alert resident called police.

He specifically remembered having seen Bugg earlier in the day wearing the same bright blue pants that witnesses described, Klein said.

Bugg was released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court to answer two counts of theft.

The goods, meanwhile, were returned to the buyers in plenty of time for Christmas.
