Police responded to a burglar alarm just before 9 o’clock last night at at the Berry Creek Café on Moonachie Avenue at the same time that the owner called, saying he was watching real-time security video of the break-in at home.

The video shows the burglar dragging a safe through a broken rear door, Sergeant Jeff Napolitano told CLIFFVIEW PILOT late this afternoon.

Moonachie officers arrived within minutes and, with the help of Port Authority Police officers, cleared the building, Napolitano said.
