Described only as juveniles, the pair reported to police on Oct. 14 that the incident occurred between 3-3:30 p.m. the day before, Lt. Joseph Rella said.

They said they "were walking south on Hudson Avenue when a male parked his vehicle on the side of the road near where they were walking," Rella said.

"The male reportedly exited his vehicle and began to walk in the same direction as the juveniles, as if he was following them," he said the youngsters told police.

"This continued for approximately two blocks until the juveniles entered a private home an adjacent street," he added.

One of them reported looking out the window after getting inside and seeing the man standing across the street, the lieutenant said. Then he ran away.

They decribed him as Hispanic, 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-3 and stocky, possibly in his early 30s, clean shaven, with black hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a black t-shirt, blue jeans and a black hat with orange or red stripes.

"It should be noted that the subject did not make any verbal or physical contact with the juveniles," Rella said.

"He was driving an older-style 4-door sedan, which was possibly silver or gray in color."
