Young Ok Chung, 50, was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with eluding/failing to stop, leaving the scene of a crash, reckless driving, failing to yield and DWI.

Officer Ptl. Nicolas D’Alto was sitting in a marked car behind a tow truck that was impounding a vehicle from another incident when it was struck by Chung's 2014 Kia, Capt. Daniel Hippe told Daily Voice.

Chung kept going west across the bridge and was pursued by D'Alto nearly a mile to Liberty Street, Hippe said.

The officer was treated for a minor injury at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck and released, the captain said. Chung wasn't injured, he said.
