Slain Lakewood officer’s fiance speaks: The fiance of a slain Lakewood police officer issued a statement today, as donations for catching and prosecuting his cold-blooded killer jumped to $130,000 and a “blue alert” dragnet stretched across several states for a man wanted for questioning in the point-blank shooting.

Law enforcement sources told CLIFFVIEW PILOT the primary suspect is Jahmell Crockam, 27, who already was wanted on a warrant for weapons possession, which may account for the shooting.

The husky Crockham — 5-foot-9 and 220 pounds, is obviously armed and considered extremely dangerous.

Christopher Matlosz, 27, of Toms River, was shot three times during a routine stop in a residential neighborhood around 4 o’clock Friday afternoon. The four-year veteran of the Ocean County department was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, where he was pronounced dead about a half-hour later.
