They quickly caught one of them. He was identified as Vicente Williams, 18.

The second was caught at nearby Martin Luther King Drive and Ege Avenue moments later, Port Authority spokesman Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Both are from Jersey City, he said.

The square has been the site of several thefts and attempted thefts of bicycles secured by commuters, so authority police are cracking down.

Williams (mugshots, top) was charged with criminal attempt and possession of burglar’s tools.

Graham, who the PAPD says has a criminal record, was charged with the same offenses, as well as with resisting arrest by eluding.
