No injuries when car rams Hasbrouck Heights police cruiser

ONLY ON CVP: No injuries were reported when a passenger car collided with a Hasbrouck Heights police cruiser around noon today, authorities said.

The officer was responding to a call when a 2012 Volvo driven by a 53-year-old Saddle Brook woman hit the police car at the corner of Madison Avenue and Boulevard, Detective Sgt. Michael Colaneri Jr. told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“Right now it appears that our officer had the overhead lights on and the other driver made a left into the police vehicle,” the sergeant said.

The police car sustained minor damage, and both vehicles were towed.

An investigation was continuing.
