Moonachie Police Covering All Of Teterboro Beginning Jan. 1

MOONACHIE, N.J. -- As 2016 arrives, Moonachie police are assuming responsibility for all police services for neighboring Teterboro.

The department had handled the eastbound lane of Route 46 and south to the Hasbrouck Heights border, with Little Ferry and what had been the Bergen County Police Department responsible for the northern half of Teteboro since 1996, under a share services agreement.

As of 12:01 a.m. Friday, Moonachie police will handle all Teterboro calls for service. Officers will patrol 24/7 and have an office at the Teterboro Municipal Building, 510 Route 46W.

If you go to the municipal building and one isn't there, one will be sent if you call: (201) 641-9100.

Moonachie Police Headquarters is located at 70 Moonachie Road about a mile and a half from the Teterboro Municipal Building.

If you have general questions, concerns, or want to speak to an officer for any reason, an officer will meet you at your home, place of business or the Teterboro Municipal Building.
