Officer Mark Torsiello stopped the Honda Accord on Moonachie Avenue around 5:30 last night and “immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana,” Detective Joseph Rutigliano told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The driver, 22-year-old Anthony Woodbury, then gave Torsiello consent to search the vehicle, he said.

Woodbury posted $1,500 bail and was released pending a Municipal Court hearing on charges of drug possession, possession with the intent to distribute it, possession within 500 feet of a park and drug paraphernalia possession.
