An angry Schwalb went to a school board discussion of bullying. As cops held her back, Schwalb demanded to know why her daughter’s situation wasn’t addressed. In the process, she cursed out the principal in the hallway.

Schwalb calmed down and apologized, but that wasn’t enough: Wednesday she’s due in court on disorderly conduct charges.

Police and school officials said the meeting wasn’t the time or place for Schwalb to express her concerns, that she should have met with the principal instead of causing a disturbance.

Yet there are those who know how worried Schwalb was about her daughter. Sure, she may have acted in appropriately, they say, but at times situations need to be placed into context.
