Garage fire forces evacuation of Samsung building in Ridgefield Park

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A car fire on the top exterior deck of a parking garage this afternoon forced the evacuation of the Samsung Electronics America headquarters in Ridgefield Park and sent plumes of smoke skyward.

The fire broke out around 2:40 at the Challenger Road building off Route 46 and was quickly extinguished after spreading to another vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
