Ashley Lorraine Homcy, 23, was wanted by North Haledon authorities when Officer Andres Kim tried to stop her for running a red light on Fletcher Avenue at Kelby Street, Police Chief Keith Bendul said.
The 2010 maroon Kia Forte “continued at a high rate of speed” to southbound Route 95 before Homcy eventually pulled over near mile marker 121, hesaid.
Backups arrived and she was taken into custody, the chief said.
Fort Lee police knew Homcy: They arrested her on drug charges in February of last year. A month later, Little Ferry police busted her on similar charges.
Two months later, Paterson police said they found her carrying heroin — and two men she was with carrying a loaded 9mm handgun reported stolen out of South Carolina — after one of them made a U-turn in front of officers in a stolen car.
Among Homcy’s other arrests was a December 2012 bust by U.S. Marshals who’d raided her former home in Butler and took her parole-violating boyfriend into custody.
Homcy on Monday posted $15,000 bail and was released from the Bergen County Jail on Fort Lee charges of eluding and receiving stolen property. They also gave her several motor vehicle summonses.
