The victim said he was making the delivery to an Elm Avenue address after 10:30 when two men confronted him and demanded money. He got away and then called police.

Detectives Geoffrey Cole and Jonathan Misskerg checked the delivery calls that night and found 18-year-old Akim Drakeford of Ridgefield Park at the Bogota home of his accused accomplice, Michael Furet. 18, around 1 this afternoon.

“The descriptions matched,” Cole told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

A brief interview with each led Cole and Misskerg to arrest the pair and charge both with strong-armed robbery and conspiracy.

Drakeford and Furet are free on $2,500 bail, pending a Municipal Court hearing.
