“We are grateful for this generous donation to be used to make another home safe and healthy,” said Gretchen Viggiano, the executive director of Rebuilding Together Bergen County (RTBC), after receiving the check from Emerson Police Chief Donald Rossi, who chairs the chiefs’ foundation.

“Veterans’ projects are very meaningful for our volunteers, who appreciate the opportunity to give back to those who served our country,” Viggiano said.

RTBC volunteers and skilled professionals will continue to work on the Westwood home through National Rebuilding Day in April, providing accessibility modifications and a new bathroom and kitchen, repairing damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, and making other improvements, the organization said.
