Aruba-bound NY woman stopped with gun at JFK Airport checkpoint

BEYOND BERGEN: An upstate New York woman headed to Aruba was caught with a .40-caliber pistol in her bag at JFK Airport, Port Authority police said.

The unloaded Glock 26 was found in a carry-on bag that 40-year-old Nerelis Beatriz Wiseman put on the belt for inspection as she prepared to board a Delta flight, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.

Wiseman was arrested on unlawful weapon possession charges.

This came after a Brooklyn woman was issued a summons for having a BB gun in her carry-on, Pentangelo said.
